Basin waste, slotted or un-slotted?
    Home    0 Comments

Slotted or un-slotted waste? If you are new to purchasing a basin waste, you maybe wondering whether you need a slotted or unslotted waste. Knowing the right waste to choose is important. Fitting the wrong waste may result in your overflow not working, water leaking onto your floor or both. Our guide will help you in purchasing the correct waste for your new basin

Firstly, you need to establish if your basin has an overflow? An overflow is a small hole which is normally inside the basin at the back, located just under the taps. An overflow’s purpose is to drain any excess water if your basin was to fill too high and to stop any overflow

Once you have established whether your basin has an overflow you can then choose your waste. If you have an overflow on your basin you will need a SLOTTED basin waste. If your basin does not have an overflow you will need an UN-SLOTTED waste.
